Your data stays yours.
Financial data is sensitive. We implement specific security practices to protect it — and we describe them transparently rather than relying on generic assurances.
Encryption at rest
All uploaded financial data and generated analysis is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Database fields containing financial figures are encrypted at the application layer before storage.
Encryption in transit
All connections to ChatGraphs use TLS 1.2 or higher. Data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted end-to-end. We enforce HTTPS on all endpoints.
Data isolation
Each workspace is logically isolated. Users in one workspace cannot access data from another workspace. File uploads, analyses, and generated charts are scoped to the workspace that created them.
Access controls
Workspace owners can control who has access to financial data. Role-based permissions allow granular control over who can upload, analyze, export, and manage workspace settings.
Data retention
You control how long your data is retained. Financial files and analyses can be deleted at any time. When you delete data, it is removed from active storage and queued for permanent deletion from backups within 30 days.
Data export and portability
You can export all of your data at any time in standard formats (Excel, CSV, PDF). Your data is never locked in — you maintain full ownership and portability.
Infrastructure
ChatGraphs infrastructure is hosted on major cloud providers with data centers offering physical security, redundancy, and high availability. We use managed database services with automated backups.
AI processing
When financial data is processed by AI models for analysis and question answering, the data is transmitted securely and is not used to train external models. Your financial data is processed solely to provide you with analysis results.
